MLI Education Group is seeking an enthusiastic Programme Coordinator for an exciting short-term international ESL programme welcoming Japanese students to Huntsville, Ontario this summer!
Responsibilities:
- Report to MLI-designated staff during the programme
- Participate in planning meetings
- Design the curriculum, lesson plan, and associated student workbook/worksheets
- Recruit and coordinate: 1 ESL Teacher and 1 Canadian Student Assistant
- Plan and lead programme activities
- Coordinate host family matching
- Monitor morning student arrival/afternoon student departure
- Conduct daily student wellness check-ins
- Hold daily briefings with visiting chaperones
- Arrange and host a Farewell Ceremony
- Conduct a Student Survey on the last day of the programme
- Assist with student departures on Departure Day
- Work with the Local Coordinator regarding homestay matters
- Respond to emergencies as required, including outside regular programme hours
Qualifications
Applicants must have:
- Canadian certified teaching degree OR an ESL teaching qualification (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or equivalent)
- Experience teaching international students
- A valid driver’s licence

Position Details
- Position Type: Short-term Contract
- Compensation: $2,000–$2,400, inclusive of vacation pay, subject to applicable statutory deductions
- Programme Dates: July 26 – August 6, 2026
- Location: Active Living Centre, Huntsville, Ontario
Pay: $2,000.00-$2,400.00 per month

Experience:
- Teaching: 5 years (required)
