Paint Truck Operator / Road Painter

Almon Equipment Ltd. is a growing infrastructure maintenance company based in Etobicoke, Toronto. We specialize in pavement marking, road maintenance, construction, and heavy equipment operations throughout Ontario.
We are currently looking for an experienced Paint Truck Operator / Road Painter to join our pavement marking team.
Position Summary
The Paint Truck Operator is responsible for operating the paint system from the rear of the paint truck while applying pavement markings on municipal roads and highways. This position works closely with the truck driver to ensure all pavement markings are applied accurately, safely, and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the paint controls from the rear of the paint truck during pavement marking operations.
- Apply pavement markings including lane lines, edge lines, stop bars, crosswalks, arrows, symbols, and other road markings.
- Ensure paint application meets quality standards and project specifications.
- Assist with loading paint, glass beads, and other materials.
- Complete daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
- Clean and maintain paint equipment and tools.
- Follow all company safety policies, traffic control procedures, and Ministry of Transportation regulations.
- Complete required paperwork, including paint reports and daily work records.
- Work safely around live traffic and construction zones.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in road painting or pavement marking is preferred.
- Experience operating a paint truck or pavement marking equipment is considered a strong asset.
- A valid G Driver's Licence is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of road marking materials, paint systems, and pavement marking equipment.
- Must be available to work night shifts from Sunday to Friday, with overtime as required during the busy season.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable transportation to and from our Etobicoke yard.
