We are seeking a Civil 3D Designer with a minimum of 2 years related experience to join our Hanover office.
As the successful candidate, you will use your technical abilities and experience in Land Development and Municipal Infrastructure projects that include site grading, site servicing, stormwater management design, linear/municipal infrastructure design and construction review
Work may include the collection of field data; technical analysis; completion of preliminary and final design including the preparation of AutoCAD Civil 3D drawings, specifications/contract documents and cost estimates; applications for approvals and coordination with external agencies. Support with contract administration and construction inspection may also be assigned.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Prepare preliminary and detailed CAD drawings associated with Land Development and Municipal Infrastructure projects
· Topographic surveys, layouts & Grading QA
· Coordinate project drawings with project managers and others
· Coordinate with clients, municipalities, agencies, and sub-consultants to facilitate/expedite design completion
KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
· A diploma/certificate from a civil engineering technology program – Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) an asset
· Demonstrated civil design experience in Civil 3D and AutoCAD
· Knowledge of engineering standards, guidelines, and regulations
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in municipal and/or land development engineering
· Demonstrated experience in plan of subdivision and subdivision design considered an asset
· Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a team environment or work independently under minimal supervision
· Ability to prioritize deadlines, track status and facilitate progress on multiple projects
· Registered or eligible for registration with OACETT
· Working knowledge of MS Office suite software.
· Valid ‘G’ Driver’s License
