Location: Bridgewater, NS
Position: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (40 hours/week). Occasional shutdown and overtime work may be required.

About the Role
BMI Ltd. is looking for an experienced Industrial Mechanic to join our team. We are looking for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery.
Whether your background is in manufacturing, heavy equipment, marine, agricultural, or industrial maintenance, we are interested in speaking with you. A Red Seal certification is an asset, but it is not required.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and determine practical repair solutions.
- Perform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment reliability.
- Repair and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
- Fabricate or modify components when required.
- Work safely and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing industrial machinery.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, power transmission, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, or similar equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems independently.
- Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred.
- Red Seal Millwright certification is an asset but not required.
