Flex-Pression (Western) fabricates, stocks and supplies high‑performance flexible Stainless Steel braided, Hydraulic and Industrial hose, Metal and Rubber expansion joints, as well as a wide range of valves and fittings. Our products are engineered to meet the rigorous compliance requirements of the oil and gas, pulp and paper, steel, and many other industrial sectors.
We are fully certified by all applicable regulatory authorities, including C.S.A., all B.P.V. authorities (such as ABSA, TSSA), U.L. and maintain an ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system. We are currently seeking a versatile production laborer who is committed and reliable to join our dynamic and growing team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Shop Supervisor, the Production Worker will be required to learn and perform the following tasks, in accordance with company procedures:
- Perform preparatory and assembly work on company products according to provided instructions, including determining, measuring, cutting, and grinding materials using power saws, angle grinders, air tools, and other equipment to required specifications.
- Carry out final finishing processes on completed products that have been tested and approved, including buffing stainless steel components and painting carbon steel materials.
- Perform pressure testing and/or product inspections in accordance with established procedures.
- Identify non‑conformances and collaborate with other employees to determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Complete, attach, and verify tags and final inspections of finished products prior to shipping or customer delivery.
- Complete or assist with packaging finished products.
- Complete or assist with incoming material inspections.
- Properly use and maintain all supplied tools and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Demonstrate the ability to cross‑train and support other areas of production as required.
- Contribute to a positive work environment.
- Work effectively with others while adhering to a team‑based approach.
- Maintain respect, professionalism, and company values within the team.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested by reporting co‑workers or supervisors.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently, carefully, and precisely.
- Proven ability and experience using measurement tools as well as electrical, air‑powered, and manual tools.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering drawings.
- Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is considered an asset
