Our company is seeking a Jr. Recruiter/Account Manager to join our team. Although we are headquartered in Toronto, ON, this is a remote position where you will work from home.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, strong mathematical abilities, and the capacity to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This role involves managing the full recruitment process for assigned positions, including creating job descriptions, sourcing candidates, and screening applicants. You'll work closely with job seekers, building rapport, understanding their backgrounds and skills, and connecting them with suitable opportunities. Preference will be given to candidates with at least one year of recruitment or sales experience.
You'll also collaborate with clients to understand their staffing needs and communicate those requirements to our recruitment team.
Our company is based in Toronto, ON, and this is a work-from-home/remote role. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST. If you reside outside the Eastern Time Zone, we expect you to accommodate this schedule.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with the account team to define openings and deliver top candidates to clients.
- Screen and conduct preliminary interviews using behavioral and competency-based methods to present a shortlist for client interviews.
- Build and manage a network of technical candidates.
- Oversee the entire recruitment lifecycle for assigned roles, from developing and posting job descriptions to onboarding candidates.
- Work with client hiring managers to gather job requirements and expectations.
- Respond to inquiries about our services via phone, email, and social media.
- Develop strong relationships with client hiring managers, business leaders, and other lines of business.
- Regularly follow up with hiring managers and candidates to ensure a timely recruitment process.
- Evaluate candidates to ensure all areas are assessed against job requirements.
- Work with candidates and clients to obtain signed documentation for all placements.
- Prospect for new business related to staffing needs via phone, email, and other electronic means.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- 1-2 years of recruitment or sales experience. Note: We do not consider customer service roles as sales.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with team-based project experience.
- Organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Meet.
- Results-driven, capable of handling multiple tasks and thriving in a dynamic setting.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
- Willingness and ability to write job descriptions. Candidates who dislike writing or have a "cut and paste" approach will not be considered.
- Preference will be given to those who can demonstrate above-average math skills.
