Overview
We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyman to join our building maintenance team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and safety of our building by performing a wide range of repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, and technical skills, along with leadership qualities to supervise maintenance activities and support continuous improvement initiatives. Duties
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facilities, and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct welding repairs and fabrications as needed to maintain equipment integrity
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting safety inspections
- Support facilities management by coordinating repairs, upgrades, and installations
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing internal client needs promptly and professionally
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in welding, electrical systems, and troubleshooting complex equipment
- Ability to read technical diagrams, schematics, and blueprints accurately
- Excellent communication skills in English; able to document work clearly and collaborate effectively with team members
- Knowledge of safety standards related to industrial maintenance and facilities operations
- Customer service orientation with a proactive approach to problem-solving
