As an Unloader on the Paintline, you will be a part of the Longboard team primarily responsible for safely and efficiently packaging extruded products in accordance with our Quality Control Plan. This role involves inspecting, wrapping, labeling, and preparing extruded materials for final packaging or warehousing. Working closely with the Paintline team, you will ensure products are accurately unloaded, counted, and documented to support smooth operations and fulfill work order requirements efficiently and effectively. Your goal is to help maintain production flow, uphold quality standards, and contribute to a safe and organized work environment.
- Product Inspection: Inspect painted products for any visible defects or damage before packaging. Verify that items meet quality standards.
- Packaging and Labeling: Wrap, label, and verify counts of extruded products according to customer and work order specifications. Ensure that packaging materials are used effectively to prevent damage during storage or shipping.
- Documentation: Accurately complete packaging documentation, including labeling and tracking information. Ensure that items are properly labeled with relevant information such as product type, and ticket number.
- Quality Control: Maintain packaging quality by following standard operating procedures and ensuring products are handled with care, and accurately counted. Report any quality issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Machine Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment, such as the unloading machine, and AGV robot. Package extrusions to pre-determined bundle sizes for efficient storage or shipment.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere to safe lifting and handling practices. Conduct routine checks on equipment and report any hazards, helping to complete daily cleaning tasks.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the paint and material handling teams to ensure unloading is completed on schedule and meets planning requirements. Assist with other tasks as needed to support efficient workflow and production targets.
- Are you able to work full-time, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week) with shift times ranging between Mon-Thru 8:00 AM-5:00 PM , and Fri 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM.
- Have a reliable means of transportation.
- Able to always wear prescribed PPE.
- Familiar with LO/TO PPE and safety policies.
- Able to lift/push/pull/carry up to 35 lbs. repeatedly and stand for the duration of your shift.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001:2015 or 14001:2015 environment.
- Production experience is a plus.
- Familiarity using production software is a plus.
- Familiarity with Lean concepts is a plus.

- Starting pay: $24.00 CAD
