We are seeking a part-time Accounting Coordinator to join a growing finance team in Calgary for an in-office role.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will assist with accounts payable administration, employee expense processing, client invoicing, and project accounting support.
Key Responsibilities
- Track invoices received and verify supporting documentation
- Coordinate invoice approvals
- Compile company credit card receipts
- Assist with weekly payment preparation
- Maintain invoice tracking and filing systems
- Compile monthly employee expense reports within the project management system (Factor) and verify supporting receipts
- Coordinate expense report approvals and distribute reports to employees
- Assist with project expense allocation and tracking within Factor
- Assist with year-end project accruals and reporting requirements
- Maintain accounting spreadsheets and records
- Assist with month-end and year-end processes
Qualifications
Required
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, Adobe, and accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Proficiency with AI tools such as Microsoft CoPilot and ChatGPT
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and time management skills
Preferred
- Experience in an architectural, engineering, consulting, or professional services firm
- Experience with project-based invoicing and project accounting
- Experience with project management software such as Factor
