Dragonnier Inc is seeking a dedicated IT Support & Networking Intern with a strong interest in networking, computer experience, and troubleshooting skills to join our team. This internship is tailored for Networking students eager to apply their knowledge in a professional IT environment, providing hands-on support to our commercial clients, which include medical and dental clinics. As an IT Support & Networking Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on network-related tasks, assist in troubleshooting technical issues, and gain practical experience in both remote and on-site IT support.
Responsibilities:
- Support the IT team in network configuration and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in troubleshooting network issues and providing technical support directly to clients.
- Travel to various commercial client locations (such as medical clinics) to provide hands-on technical assistance.
- Provide monitored remote support, ensuring that every remote access session and client call is strictly reported and logged using our ticketing system.
- Help with software installations, updates, and system maintenance across Windows environments.
- Participate in IT projects related to network infrastructure and hardware deployments.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve technical challenges while delivering exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
- Required: Prior customer service experience in a Technical Support role.
- Required: A full G driving license and the willingness to use your own personal vehicle for transportation (you will be accommodated for either travel or gas).
- Required: Solid networking skills, including familiarity with protocols, IP addressing, and subnetting.
- Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Networking, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Solid computer knowledge and hardware/software troubleshooting skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Preferred: Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Previous experience with network configuration or troubleshooting.
- Relevant coursework or IT certifications.
- Proficiency in using network diagnostic tools.
