Position Summary
We currently have an opening available for a Billing & Audit Lead at our Surrey, BC location. This role supports the business strategy and objectives of the Company with a primary focus on our high-volume billing and accuracy.
Position Requirements
· Within the scope of an audit capacity, ensures billing is accurate and maintains deadlines to meet our days to invoice goals.
· When necessary, performs a detailed review of shipping documents and as well as tracking information to achieve a properly rated shipment for invoicing the customer.
· Follows up with other terminals and customer service to retrieve any missing documents in the imaging system to ensure accurate billing.
· Confirms tariff rating system is properly applied and calculations are correct.
· Helps identify problem rates or processes in order to provide prompt and efficient invoicing.
· Works collaboratively to help maintain and train standard billing methodology to other billing staff.
· Identifies and recognizes rating errors and reports these to the Billing and Audit Manager or designate for review with Sales and other applicable managers.
· Provides feedback and suggestions that may help to improve current processes and systems in place.
· Maintains professional demeanor at all times.
Experience and Qualifications
· Minimum of 5 years of progressive administrative management experience
· Post secondary education preferred
· Demonstrated supervisory/leadership experience
· Ability to work in a high-pressure environment
· Balance between strategic and operational focus
· Systematic approach with good time management skills
· Ability to research, analyze and communicate in the best interests of the company
· Knowledge of the Transportation Industry
· Experience with AS400 and TruckMate is an asset
· Demonstrates superior communication skills that foster open, respectful communication and dialogue
· Demonstrates leadership skills and positive learning attitude.
