Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Kindergarten Class Early Childhood Educator Level 2 or 3 to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children, supporting their developmental needs and fostering a love for learning. This role involves working closely with children, families, and colleagues to deliver high-quality early childhood education that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for preschool and kindergarten students.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and independence.
- Support children's social-emotional development through guidance, encouragement, and effective communication.
- Assess individual student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan classroom activities, field trips, and special events.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, development milestones, and behavioral observations.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in accordance with licensing regulations and best practices.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English
- Experience in childcare, early childhood education, or classroom teaching preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively across multiple responsibilities.
- Leadership qualities to guide young learners and collaborate within a team setting.
- Writing skills for documentation, reports, and parent communication.
Qualification
- Alberta Early Childhood Educator Certificate (Level 2 or 3)
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Clear Criminal Record Check, including a Vulnerable Sector Search
- Valid Food Safety Certificate
