The Opportunity
We are offering a unique seasonal opportunity to join a private service and estate team based in Port Carling, Ontario, at the heart of Muskoka.
This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in meticulous work, enjoys working around high-end boats and vehicles, and thrives in a hands-on, detail-oriented environment.
Our team is responsible for the care and presentation of a large and bespoke fleet of primarily watercraft, including modern and antique boats, as well as a smaller collection of vehicles.
This position is seasonal, with a minimum commitment from May or June through September, and the option to extend into October.
Reporting to the Facilities and Operations Manager, this position plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness, presentation, and readiness of the fleet and related facilities.
The role involves both interior and exterior detailing of boats and vehicles, as well as maintaining boathouse interiors and ensuring all boating equipment and safety gear are clean, organized, and in excellent condition.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employers, family members, guests, and assets
- Provide high-quality service with professionalism and attention to detail
- Work collaboratively with other estate staff and support broader operations as needed
- Take initiative and respond to evolving daily priorities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Boat & Vehicle Detailing:
- Perform thorough cleaning and detailing of boats (interior and exterior), including washing, waxing, polishing, and metal care
- Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of both modern and antique boats to a high standard
- Clean and detail vehicles including cars and trucks as required
- Identify areas requiring additional care or maintenance and report accordingly
Boathouse & Equipment Care:
- Clean and maintain boathouse interiors, docks, and related waterfront areas
- Ensure all boating equipment (lifejackets, safety kits, water toys, etc.) are clean, organized, and properly stored
- Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain organization systems for boating and safety equipment
- Assist with seasonal setup and teardown of boating operations
Fleet Support:
- Assist with basic handling and movement of boats and vehicles where required
- Support coordination of cleaning schedules to ensure all assets are ready for use
- Work alongside external vendors or specialists when needed
Qualifications
- Prior experience in detailing, marine or automotive experience is an asset
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
- Comfortable working around water, boats, and outdoor environments
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs, bending, standing, and working in various weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain systems
- Positive attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks
- Valid driver’s license required
- Valid boating license required (can be obtained on site if necessary)

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
