Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Concrete Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in concrete finishing, masonry, and related trade skills. This role involves working on various projects including new construction, restoration, and renovation, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to project specifications. The Concrete Finisher will collaborate with other trades and utilize a variety of tools and techniques to achieve precise results in concrete surfaces.
Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth, level, and durable finishes.
- Install rebar and formwork according to schematics and blueprints, ensuring structural integrity.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for tasks such as lifting and positioning forms or materials.
- Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project requirements accurately.
- Perform masonry work, including caulking, flooring installation, and restoration tasks as needed.
- Use carpentry skills for framing, form building, and modifications during the finishing process.
- Apply welding techniques when necessary for reinforcement or structural repairs.
- Conduct concrete curing processes and ensure proper application of finishing techniques like troweling and edging.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to OSHA guidelines and using personal protective equipment.
- Assist with demolition or renovation work involving concrete structures when required.
Experience
- Proven experience in concrete finishing, masonry, or related construction trades.
- Mechanical knowledge of tools, power equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Familiarity with reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with rebar installation, concrete forming, and restoration projects.
- Knowledge of flooring installation, caulking, welding, and general renovation techniques is a plus.
