Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will excel in providing exceptional guest service. This role involves taking orders, packing the orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred, along with strong communication and multitasking skills. Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS, food safety standards, and sanitation practices are highly valued. The Server will play a key role in upselling menu items and ensuring guest satisfaction through excellent customer service and hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform cashiering duties as needed
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met during food handling and serving
- Maintain overall restaurant cleanliness
- Collaborate with kitchen staff
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction
- Manage time effectively during busy periods
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and order calculations
- Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus but not required
- Be able to multitask and demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in fast-paced settings
- Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor
