Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Hiring Dispatcher to coordinate and manage transportation operations efficiently. Responsibilities
- Manage transportation management systems (TMS) to schedule, track, and optimize freight movements across the supply chain.
- Coordinate dispatch activities for freight carriers, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining high levels of communication with drivers and clients.
- Utilize multi-line phone systems to handle inbound and outbound calls professionally, providing clear instructions and updates.
- Conduct analysis of shipping data to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost efficiencies.
- Maintain detailed records of dispatch activities, shipment statuses, and driver logs to ensure compliance and transparency.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and communication skills when liaising with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to foster positive relationships.
Experience
- Previous experience working with transportation management systems (TMS) or in a logistics/distribution environment is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in using systems such as AS400 or SyteLine for shipping & receiving processes.
- Strong data entry skills with high accuracy in typing and record keeping.
- Demonstrated analysis skills to interpret shipping data and improve operational workflows.
- Excellent communication skills paired with professional phone etiquette for multi-line phone system handling.
- Experience with shipping & receiving procedures within a fast-paced environment is a plus.
