Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team Tuesdays and Wednesdays. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care, promote oral health education, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. This role offers an opportunity to work in a friendly environment with a focus on patient comfort and quality service. Candidates with experience in dental office operations, pediatrics, orthodontics, or bilingual skills are highly valued. Knowledge of Dentrix software, medical terminology, and dental assisting procedures will enhance your success in this position.
Responsibilities
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Conduct oral health assessments and document findings accurately
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and treatment plans
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as needed
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) following safety protocols
- Manage patient records using Abeldent software system
- Ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming clinical environment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions and concerns professionally
- Support pediatric patients with gentle care and effective communication
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements
- Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state regulations
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is preferred
- Proficiency with Abledent software preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
- Experience or familiarity with orthodontics and pediatric dentistry is a plus
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations
- Strong customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients and coordinate with staff

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
