We are seeking reliable and professional On-Call Security Guards to respond to alarm calls and attend assigned sites as needed.
This position is ideal for individuals who live locally, have flexible availability, and can respond promptly when contacted. Guards will be compensated $25–$30 per completed alarm response, depending on the assignment.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to alarm calls and attend the assigned location
- Inspect the premises for signs of unauthorized access, damage, or suspicious activity
- Ensure the building and surrounding areas are secure
- Contact emergency services or management when required
- Follow all site-specific alarm-response and security procedures
- Prepare a clear report after each alarm response
- Immediately report any incident, safety concern, or unusual activity
Requirements
- Valid provincial security guard licence
- Must live in or near the assigned service area
- Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s licence
- Available on call, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to respond within the required timeframe
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Professional, punctual, and dependable
- Previous security or alarm-response experience is preferred
- First Aid and CPR certification are considered assets
