Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tire and Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. This role involves performing tire replacements, wheel alignments, oil changes, and general vehicle maintenance to ensure customer safety and satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is highly valued, along with a solid understanding of automotive repair and maintenance procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform tire replacements, rotations, and wheel alignments with precision and care
- Conduct oil changes and fluid top-offs using appropriate tools and techniques
- Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and communicate findings to customers or supervisors
- Assist with vehicle inspections, brake repairs, and other mechanical repairs as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions
- Promote additional maintenance or repair services to customers when appropriate
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Qualifications
- Previous dealership or mechanic experience is preferred but not required; relevant training will be provided for the right candidate
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely (heavy lifting required) and perform physical tasks throughout the workday
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Basic understanding of automotive maintenance procedures and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
