Our client, a leading organization in the industrial sector, is seeking a Tire Loader/Forklift Operator to join their team. As a Tire Loader/Forklift Operator, you will be part of the tire warehouse support team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork skills, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Tire Loader/Forklift Operator
Location: New Glasgow, NS
Pay Range: $19.05
Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 15:00, with occasional overtime opportunities
What's the Job?
- Operate forklift trucks to stage pallets of tires according to defined pick-lists
- Count and verify load quantity and quality to meet safety and quality standards
- Use warehouse management software (“Geode”) via vehicle-mounted tablets for inventory tracking
- Manually lift and stack tires in trailers following specific patterns
- Maintain cleanliness of trailers and work environment using brooms or mops
What's Needed?
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg safely and efficiently
- Valid Powered Industrial Vehicle license issued by Michelin with specific vision and training requirements
- Willingness to work in varying temperature environments (5-20°C in winter, 20-30°C in summer)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Background check clearance (criminal, local)
