Your Opportunity:
Responsible to the Manager - Physical Therapy and responsible for overall clinic and/or program support. Provides general clerical support including preliminary screening, processing referrals, scheduling meetings and appointments, file management, data entry, word processing and follow-up phone calls. Coordinates complex schedules, manages client communications and supports a multidisciplinary team. Includes supporting internal communications such as drafting meeting agendas, taking minutes, and managing logistics for team meetings. Beyond clerical tasks like scanning documents into EMRs or assisting with referrals, you are an essential point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, aiding clients, families and clinical staff in person and on the phone. Works closely with other clerical and support staff as well as staff in other areas, e.g., Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Communication Disorders, Psychology, Social Work and Admitting. Assists with clinical projects or services and other related clerical duties including coverage for other clerical positions as required.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
Additional Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary training in medical office management is preferred. Previous related experience with customer service focus and in health care setting required. Proficiency using Oracle for ordering is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook and Access is required. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and an ability to prioritize and organize work assignments with minimal direction. Must be able to tolerate prolonged sitting and various keyboarding tasks for 70-80% of the day. Must be physically able to lift/carry/push/pull 25lbs and walk for up to 10-minutes carrying loads as mentioned. Must be able to quickly change positions and alternate activities. Requires dexterity and the ability to reach different heights throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Connect Care or electronic medical records an asset. Previous experience in a hospital outpatient setting is considered an asset.
