About the Role
We are seeking an Automation Technician with hands-on experience in Rockwell Automation platforms to support the design, development, troubleshooting, and commissioning of industrial control systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys real-world automation challenges and wants to continue growing their Rockwell expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Studio 5000 Logix Designer programs (CompactLogix/ControlLogix).
- Configure and update FactoryTalk View ME HMI applications.
- Assist with system commissioning, testing, and onsite startup support.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, industrial networks, and remote I/O.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and panel layout drawings.
- Collaborate with engineering and field teams to deliver automation solutions.
- Support maintenance and continuous improvement on customer sites.
Required Qualifications
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Rockwell Automation systems.
- Proficiency with Studio 5000 Logix Designer and FactoryTalk View ME.
- Practical experience with PLC troubleshooting, ladder logic, AOIs, and routine edits.
- Strong understanding of industrial control panels, instrumentation, and motor controls.
- Familiarity with Ethernet/IP networks, remote I/O, VFDs, and panel hardware.
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with PanelView Plus 7 hardware.
- Exposure to CompactLogix migrations (e.g., SLC conversions).
- Knowledge of Ignition SCADA, motion control, or safety PLCs.
- Electrical or mechatronics diploma (or equivalent).
- Ability to travel to customer sites.
