Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport freight and equipment across various routes. This role requires a strong focus on safety, adherence to traffic regulations, and efficient delivery schedules. The Truck Driver will play a vital role in ensuring timely and secure delivery of goods, supporting our company's logistics operations.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight, equipment, and materials to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered during transit.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle operability.
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws to ensure the safety of oneself and others on the road.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating heavy trucks and freight transportation vehicles.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
