POSITION SUMMARY
As a Breakfast Server at Amber Road Restaurant, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional breakfast experiences to hotel guests and local visitors. You will provide friendly, efficient, and professional service while ensuring guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive.
This role requires strong hospitality skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create memorable guest experiences in a fast-paced hotel restaurant environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESGuest Service
- Welcome guests warmly and professionally.
- Present menus and explain breakfast offerings, daily specials, and beverage selections.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Micros POS.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service throughout the dining experience.
- Handle guest concerns promptly and professionally.
Food & Beverage Service
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while maintaining presentation standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and ensure timely table maintenance.
- Refill coffee, tea, water, and other beverages as required.
- Promote and upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
Dining Room Operations
- Set up and maintain breakfast stations and dining areas.
- Ensure tables are properly cleaned, reset, and ready for service.
- Assist with buffet setup, replenishment, and presentation when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations.
Hotel & Team Support
- Work closely with kitchen and hotel teams to ensure smooth service operations.
- Support room service breakfast orders when required.
- Follow all company policies, food safety standards, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Previous restaurant, hotel, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Experience with Micros POS or similar systems is an asset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance and positive attitude.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
