Job Summary
As an Assistant Operations Manager, your main focus will be in maintaining sufficient stock levels of all products by analyzing inventory flow and reports to replenish inventory accordingly. You will be responsible for calculating and keeping track of accurate cost, profit margin and retail price of each product.
You will also play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating daily warehouse and store operations to ensure efficient processes and maintaining high levels of productivity and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise a team of warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations
- Oversee inventory management, including receiving, storing, and shipping products
- Analyze stock reports, forecast demand and required replenishment flow
- Communicate and place orders with suppliers to replenish stock
- Provide customer service in-person, email and phone
- Resolve customer complaints, order errors and other order related issues
- Ensure cost efficiency across all supplies used to conduct business
- Implement and optimize operational procedures to enhance efficiency
- Coordinate with other departments to streamline operations
- Calculate and maintain accurate cost and retail pricing of product catalog
- Ensure compliance with Health Canada Cosmetic regulations for new products
- Measure key performance metrics and complete monthly reporting
- Perform a wide range of administrative tasks
- Accounts payables and general bookkeeping
- Address any operational and store issues promptly and effectively
Experience
- Previous experience in management and leading a team
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is a benefit
- Previous knowledge of lash & brow supplies and services is a bonus
- Must be proficient with Excel and mathematical calculations (advanced)
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proficiency in data analysis skills to interpret operational metrics
- Knowledge of process improvement techniques is a plus
- Comfortable working with computerized systems (shopify) for inventory tracking and order processing
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with customers, staff and management
- Experience in office administration
- Excellent email writing skills
