FineFix Contracting is looking for a reliable, experienced, and versatile construction labourer to join our team. We need someone comfortable working independently and handling a wide range of tasks on commercial construction and renovation projects.
This is not an entry-level position. The right person will have hands-on experience across multiple areas of construction and be able to assess a task, determine what needs to be done, and complete it properly.
Responsibilities
- Commercial demolition and site preparation
- Installing flooring, baseboards, casing, and other finish trim
- Installing doors, frames, and hardware
- Basic framing, drywall installation, patching, and repairs
- Minor painting, caulking, and finishing work
- General carpentry and construction repairs
- Material handling and job-site organization
- Protecting finished surfaces and maintaining a clean, safe work area
- Assisting trades and site supervisors as required
- Completing deficiencies and final finishing work
- Safely operating common power tools and construction equipment
- Adapting to different tasks as project needs change
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on construction or renovation experience
- Versatile across several construction tasks—not limited to one trade
- Able to work independently without constant supervision
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Comfortable using common hand and power tools
- Physically capable of lifting materials and performing active construction work
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
- Dependable, punctual, and able to communicate clearly
- Own basic hand tools and CSA-approved safety footwear
- Willing to travel to different project locations when required
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, First Aid, or other safety certifications are considered assets
What We’re Looking For
We want someone who can walk onto a construction site and be useful in most situations. You should be equally comfortable completing demolition, installing a door, laying flooring, finishing trim, making repairs, or helping move a project across the finish line.

Position: Full-time
Location: Kitchener-Waterloo and surrounding areas
Compensation: Based on experience and demonstrated skill level
