This is an exciting new role that will help grow our community impact by expanding fundraising opportunities, strengthening donor relationships, and creating meaningful ways for people to support women and children experiencing gender-based violence.

About the Role
As our Community Engagement Coordinator, you'll play a key role in growing community-led fundraising, supporting donor stewardship, and helping increase awareness of My Friend's House throughout South Georgian Bay. You'll work collaboratively across our team to create engaging experiences that inspire generosity and deepen community connections.
This is a new, part-time (minimum 25 hours per week) hybrid position, with the potential to add hours if needed. Preference will be given to candidates who live in the South Georgian Bay area (Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Clearview Township, The Town of the Blue Mountains and Meaford). This position comes with benefits and vacation time. Weekend and evening work is occasionally required.
What You'll Do
- Plan, coordinate, and evaluate signature fundraising events and community engagement initiatives.
- Grow community-led and third-party fundraising opportunities that inspire local support.
- Build and nurture relationships with sponsors, local businesses, volunteers, donors, and community ambassadors.
- Support donor stewardship through thoughtful recognition, meaningful engagement, and relationship building across the donor journey.
- Maintain accurate donor records and help strengthen fundraising through effective data management, reporting, and tracking.
- Develop event timelines, budgets, sponsorship packages, and post-event evaluations.
- Collaborate with the Senior Communications Manager to promote events, campaigns, and community initiatives.
- Identify new opportunities to increase My Friend's House's visibility through partnerships, presentations, networking, and community outreach.
- Monitor and evaluate fundraising performance, sponsorship outcomes, and community engagement to help inform future strategies.
