Job Summary

Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and other confections, adhering to recipes and quality standards
- Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic designs using various techniques and tools
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with safety and sanitation regulations
- Package baked goods for retail display or customer orders with attention to presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and storage areas in accordance with food safety standards
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service by assisting customers with product selections and answering questions about baked goods
- Follow all kitchen safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in cake decorating and food preparation within a bakery or restaurant setting
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail for precise decorating and consistent product quality
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and packaging procedures
- Creative flair for cake design combined with technical baking skills
- Experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
