Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Slinger Truck Operator to join our construction team. This vital role involves safely operating and driving new sidewinder slinger truck. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where precision and safety are paramount.
Duties
- Operate Slinger trucks in coordination with gravel crews and supervisors in delivering gravel to job sites.
- Assist with the setup and securing of loads for safe transportation and placement
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality
- Communicate effectively with ground personnel, and site supervisors to coordinate logistics of delivering material to be unloaded using converor belt driven sidewinder.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards at all times
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries on site.
- Tracking time and material to specific job sites.
- filling out all safety and vehicle inspection sheets.
Experience
- Knowledge of construction site safety regulations and best practices
- Experience with commercial driving and farm machinery is a plus
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting is preferred
- Class 3 miniumum is required and ability to drive and operate heavy duty tandem vehicle with gravel box with telabelt side winder attachment.
This role requires a dedicated professional capable of handling complex machinery safely and efficiently. Candidates should demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Pay: $35.00-$38.00 per hour
