Blue Sky Home Care and Forbes Pharmacy have joined teams to service clients in the comfort of their own homes. Services run Monday - Sunday, with both day-shifts and evening shifts available, providing medication administration to a variety of clientele. A current, valid driver’s license is required, and a company vehicle is provided.
Our Blue Sky Home Care team has been assisting the Greater Victoria area and surrounding communities for over 10 years, delivering quality outreach nursing, supporting clients in shelters, and providing a home care experience that exceeds expectations.
We continue to offer compassionate, community-based services while partnering with established healthcare providers to strengthen our role as leaders in the healthcare community. Our collaborative approach brings together Patients, Care Workers, Nurses, Physicians, and Pharmacists to simplify care, reduce stress, and create more time for clients to enjoy life.
Job Description
This is a Team Lead nursing role that blends hands-on client care with leadership and program development responsibilities. The position includes one dedicated administrative day per week at our home office, with the remainder of the time spent providing direct care in the community.
This is a dynamic, hands-on nursing role that requires leadership, flexibility, and a passion for community-based care.
An ideal candidate would:
- Quickly establish and maintain relationships with professionals from multiple agencies involved in client care
- Be professional, confident, and proactive while working both autonomously and as a leader
- Possess a strong desire to advocate for community clients who face barriers to accessing healthcare, including those in shelters
- Be self-driven, organized, and accountable
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion as core values in building client relationships
- Thrive in rapidly changing environments and respond effectively to emergencies
- Act as a natural leader, mentor, and ambassador for both the program and clients
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide hands-on nursing care, including medication administration in the community
- Conduct client intakes and initial assessments
- Lead, mentor, and support nursing and care staff
- Assist with staff scheduling and coordination of services
- Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of the medication administration program
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and healthcare providers
- Support quality assurance and uphold high standards of client care
- Participate in one administrative day per week at the home office
Posting Requirements:
- Current BC Nurse registration and in good standing with the college
- Valid BC driver’s license
- Familiarity with universal precautions and current Ministry of Health guidelines
- Exceptional assessment, documentation, and communication skills
- Ability to work day shifts, weekends, and holidays as part of a rotation
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
