Arne’s Welding Ltd. a leading manufacturer of Aggregate and Lowbed Trailers in Western Canada is seeking a Shop Maintenance Technician to join our team.
THE OPPORTUNITY:
Are you a mechanically inclined, organized individual with a strong desire to learn? We are currently looking to hire a General Labourer who possesses a positive attitude, strong multitasking skills, and eagerness to undertake any role assigned. The successful candidate is responsible, will work well under minimal supervision, and is very confident in their general abilities.
This role will also prepare a positive and motivated candidate for an opportunity to advance into equipment operator roles.
Wage: $17/hr
Responsibilities:
- Scraping and labelling parts completed by the plasma table operator
- Ensuring parts are delivered to the needed workstation
- Maintaining clean and neat work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Willingness to learn
- Adaptability to change
- Mechanically inclined
- Ability to read a tape measure in imperial units
- Physically fit; Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Able to work while wearing all safety gear and obey safety rules of the shop
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
HOURS:
- Monday to Thursday, 3:00 pm to 1:30 am ($1.00 evening shift premium)
