Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Pipe Layer to join our dynamic construction team. Duties
- Lay and install underground pipes using various heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bucket trucks
- Operate power tools and hand tools to cut, assemble, and secure piping systems with precision
- Perform rigging tasks to safely lift and position pipes during installation
- Conduct site inspections to ensure proper alignment, depth, and safety standards are met throughout the project
- Use welding techniques to join pipe sections where necessary, ensuring durable connections
- Assist with electrical work related to low voltage wiring for utility systems when required
- Maintain equipment such as bucket trucks and low voltage tools, performing routine checks and basic repairs
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry regulations
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of piping systems, tools, and heavy equipment operation
- Experience operating excavators, backhoes, bucket trucks, and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and rigging techniques
- Knowledge of electrical systems related to low voltage wiring for utility or communication lines
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications accurately
- Excellent physical stamina for manual labor tasks in various weather conditions
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and supervisors effectively
