We are looking for an experienced Office Administrator to manage daily trucking operations, coordinate drivers and equipment, and maintain strong customer relationships. This is a fast-paced position requiring strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule pickups and deliveries while maximizing truck and trailer utilization.
- Monitor loads, driver schedules, routes, mileage, fuel, and equipment availability.
- Communicate with drivers and customers regarding load status, delays, and operational changes.
- Plan and prepare loads for upcoming shifts and following days.
- Ensure compliance with Hours of Service, safety requirements, load securement, and company policies.
- Coordinate equipment maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records, driver information, costs, and system updates.
- Assist with invoicing, reporting, emails, and other administrative duties.
Requirements
- Strong planning, multitasking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Hours of Service, open-deck/load securement, and over-dimensional permits is an asset.
- Mechanical knowledge of trucks and trailers is an asset.
- Ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Must be available for after-hours/on-call support and weekends as needed.
Pay: $19.55-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
