Territory Sales & Account Growth Representative – GTAOverview
Ziraland is seeking a motivated, performance-driven Territory Sales & Account Growth Representative to manage and grow customer accounts throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
Ziraland is a growing food distribution and import company specializing in frozen Azerbaijani and Turkish desserts, including baklava, pakhlava, shekerbura, mutaki and kyata, as well as extra virgin olive oil.
This is an on-the-road, commission-based sales position. The representative will regularly visit grocery stores, specialty food markets, restaurants and other retail customers to strengthen relationships, increase order frequency, introduce additional products and help each account generate stronger sales.
There is no fixed base salary. Earnings are directly tied to sales performance, account growth and results.
Responsibilities
- Visit existing Ziraland customers throughout the GTA on a consistent schedule.
- Build strong relationships with store owners, managers, buyers and department supervisors.
- Encourage customers to place repeat orders and increase the size and frequency of their purchases.
- Identify which Ziraland products are best suited to each customer and location.
- Sell frozen desserts, dessert trays, retail dessert boxes and extra virgin olive oil.
- Introduce additional products to customers who currently purchase only part of the Ziraland product line.
- Review product placement, freezer displays, shelf availability, pricing and inventory levels during store visits.
- Identify low inventory, missing products and potential sales opportunities before the customer runs out of stock.
- Help customers improve product visibility and sell-through through better placement, sampling events and promotional ideas.
- Follow up with customers by phone, text, email and in-person visits.
- Resolve customer concerns and communicate feedback to the Ziraland management team.
- Prospect and open qualified new grocery stores, specialty markets, restaurants and food-service accounts within the assigned territory.
- Maintain accurate records of customer visits, orders, opportunities and follow-up activities using the company CRM.
- Meet agreed sales, account-growth and customer-retention targets.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in field sales, route sales, food distribution, grocery sales, wholesale sales or account management is preferred.
- Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable visiting businesses and speaking directly with owners, buyers and store managers.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Organized and consistent with customer follow-ups.
- Able to identify sales opportunities and confidently ask customers for the order.
- Knowledge of grocery stores, ethnic food markets, restaurants or food-service businesses within the GTA is an asset.
- Familiarity with Azerbaijani, Turkish, Persian, Russian, Eastern European or Middle Eastern food markets is an asset.
- Additional languages are an asset but are not required.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable personal vehicle are required.
Compensation
- Commission-only, performance-based compensation.
- No fixed base salary.
- Earnings are based on sales generated, repeat orders, account growth and new accounts opened.
- Compensation structure and commission rates will be discussed with qualified applicants.

The successful candidate will take ownership of their territory and treat every customer visit as an opportunity to improve service, increase sales and grow the Ziraland brand.
Pay: $45,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
Experience:
- food or grocery sales : 1 year (preferred)
- B2B sales: 1 year (preferred)
