Due to continued business growth and increased operational requirements, we are seeking experienced Truck Drivers to join our team.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate tractor-trailer units to transport freight safely and efficiently.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured and transported in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Plan delivery schedules and follow assigned routes while maintaining on-time deliveries.
- Complete driver logs, inspection reports, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, or delays promptly.
- Comply with all provincial and federal transportation regulations, including hours-of-service requirements.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle.
- Provide excellent customer service during pickups and deliveries.
Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Valid Ontario Class AZ Driver's Licence.
- Clean driver's abstract and CVOR record.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario and Canadian transportation regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and overnight trips when required.
Assets
- Experience with cross-border transportation.
- TDG certification.
- FAST Card (if applicable).
- Experience hauling dry van, reefer, or flatbed loads.
Work Conditions
- Long-haul and regional driving.
- Repetitive driving for extended periods.
- Loading and unloading may be required on certain deliveries.
- Physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 lbs when required.
- Fast-paced transportation environment with tight delivery schedules.
