About the Role
C’est Tout Bakery & Bistro is looking for a baker to join our bakery team.
This is not a “creative baking at home” position. This is a professional bakery role where consistency, accuracy, timing, cleanliness, and reliability matter every single day.
Our bakery produces desserts, pastries, pies, cakes, and sweets that are served in-house, sold from our showcase, and prepared for wholesale clients, special orders and events. Guests come back because the quality is consistent. That only happens when recipes are followed, details are respected, and production is completed properly and on time.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in doing things correctly, can work independently, and understands that small details have a big impact in a commercial kitchen.
Reliability and attention to detail are non-negotiable in this role.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, bake, finish, and decorate desserts, pastries, pies, cakes, and other bakery items according to C’est Tout’s recipes and standards
- Follow recipes, methods, measurements, production lists, and presentation standards accurately
- Complete daily production on time and at the required volume
- Maintain consistent quality, portioning, appearance, and flavour across all products
- Keep your station clean, organized, stocked, and ready for service
- Follow food safety, sanitation, storage, labelling, and dating procedures
- Communicate clearly with the GM, Owner, and team about production needs, shortages, timing, and issues
- Support daily service, special orders, catering, seasonal features, and events as needed
- Take feedback professionally and apply it immediately
What We’re Looking For
The right candidate is dependable, organized, focused, and serious about quality.
You should be someone who:
- Has professional baking experience in a bakery, restaurant, café, or commercial kitchen
- Can follow recipes and procedures exactly
- Pays close attention to detail, especially with measurements, timing, presentation, and consistency
- Works cleanly and efficiently
- Can manage a production list without constant supervision
- Understands the importance of showing up on time and being ready to work
- Communicates clearly and professionally
- Can stay calm and focused in a busy kitchen
- Is open to feedback and committed to improving
- Understands that consistency is just as important as creativity
