As our portfolio continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and ambitious Development Manager to join our team.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Construction & Development, the Development Manager will play a key role in supporting and advancing multiple development projects from acquisition through design, approvals, construction, and completion.
This position offers a unique opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of the development process while working alongside an experienced team responsible for some of Western Canada’s most exciting residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
We are looking for someone who is organized, proactive, commercially minded, and eager to build a long-term career in real estate development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of development projects from conception through completion.
- Support acquisition and due diligence activities for potential development opportunities.
- Coordinate municipal approvals, permitting, consultant management, and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with architects, engineers, planners, contractors, and government authorities to advance projects.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and critical milestones to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare project status reports, site investigation reports, and other development-related documentation.
- Participate in design development and construction coordination meetings.
- Assist with project financial analysis, budgeting, and cost monitoring.
- Research market trends, development opportunities, zoning requirements, and competitive developments.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, consultants, contractors, municipalities, and stakeholders.
- Support the development team in identifying and resolving project challenges while maintaining project objectives.
- Travel as required to support company projects.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Urban Land Economics, Engineering, Architecture, Planning, Real Estate, Business, or a related discipline.
- 3-7 years of experience in real estate development, construction, project management, consulting, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the development and construction process.
- Experience coordinating multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and technical documents.
- Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and Project.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, or related software is considered an asset.

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
