Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform general construction labour on residential and commercial restoration projects.
- Assist with demolition, debris removal, and site preparation following water, fire, mould, and storm damage.
- Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment.
- Assist carpenters and skilled trades with framing, drywall, insulation, flooring, painting, and finish work.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and OH&S regulations.
- Set up and remove containment barriers and assist with restoration equipment as required.
- Identify and report site hazards, damage, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, subcontractors, and customers.
- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality workmanship.
- Participate in emergency response work, which may require overtime, evenings, weekends, or on-call availability.
Qualifications
- Construction or restoration experience is an asset but not required.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing repetitive manual labour.
- Comfortable working in a variety of weather conditions and environments.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
