We are a full-service restoration company looking for ambitious and energetic individuals to join our team as a Restoration Technician for our Kelowna branch. If you have the ability to work hard, multitask and learn quickly with a positive attitude, then we want to meet you.
Job Responsibilities:
The Restoration Technician plays a crucial role in water damage restoration. You will perform water extraction, demolition and sanitation procedures.
What we are looking for:
- Document work status through photos and/or videos to keep managers and teams informed.
- Determine the category of water loss.
- Extract excess water from carpets, walls, and other surfaces.
- Assist in determining non-restorable building components.
- Assist in demolition.
- Set up and manage drying equipment.
- Clean and sanitize using bio-wash procedures.
- May be required to manipulate, block, or move contents.
- Monitors drying process and adjusts/removes equipment as required.
- Collaborated with team members during each stage of the restoration process, ensuring timely completion
Requirements
- Valid Driver's Licence with a clean driver abstract.
- Experience driving and parking a cube truck or full-sized panel van is considered an asset.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to work alone or with minimum supervision.
- Ability to address unexpected challenges and make quick decisions.
- Ability to lift industrial fans 30 - 40 lbs.
- Ability to load/unload wheeled industrial dehumidifiers.
- Knowledge of construction-related hand tools and power tools.
- Knowledge of building materials and basic construction fundamentals.
- Experience in custodial work, pressure washing, carpet cleaning, or carpet installation is considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Will often work in dirty and/or wet conditions
- Work is of a physical nature
- Personal Protective Equipment are provided
- Work is full-time. Overtime is required at times.
