Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Personal Care Home Manager to oversee and coordinate resident care services within a senior personal care home setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, comprehensive knowledge of personal care and a compassionate approach to resident care. This role involves managing the care team, supporting residents and their families and ensuring compliance with Saskatchewan Personal Care Act and Regulations while delivering exceptional resident services.
The Personal Care Home Manager will play a vital role in maintaining high-quality care standards while fostering a supportive environment for both staff and residents.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise care staff to ensure delivery of personalized residents care
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals and families
- Oversee medication administration, resident assessments and documentation
- Coordinate with healthcare providers for case management, acute care needs, pain management, and specialized procedures
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety protocols, and quality standards
- Provide training and ongoing education to care staff on topics like medication assistance, activities of daily living, emergency evacuation procedure, food preparation and safety practices
- Manage scheduling, staffing levels, and resource allocation to optimize resident outcomes
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary teams to address concerns and update on care progress
- Communicate effectively with regulators including the personal care consultant, municipal inspectors, health region inspectors and assessors
- Maintain accurate records related to resident care activities in accordance with Saskatchewan Personal Care Act, Regulations and organizational policies
Skills
- Extensive personal care experience with knowledge of senior care in personal care home settings.
- Proven team management and supervising experience
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration protocols, and case management processes
- Experience working with dementia residents or in assisted living environments is highly desirable
- Ability to coordinate resident care plans involving specialized procedures
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with healthcare teams and families
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is desirable
- Compassionate leadership style focused on delivering high-quality resident-centered care
- Certifications in Personal Care Worker course, Food Safety, First Aid & CPR are mandatory.

Pay: $18.25-$27.85 per hour
