Overview
We are seeking compassionate, understanding, and dedicated CACCF-registered Addiction Counsellors to join our dynamic treatment team. In this vital role, you will provide direct support and counselling to individuals on their journey to recovery within a residential setting. You will be a key player in creating a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct client intakes and assessments.
· Perform routine client safety checks, including pat-downs, in accordance with facility policy.
· Provide compassionate one-on-one counselling sessions.
· Facilitate therapeutic and psycho-educational groups.
· Maintain timely, accurate, and confidential client notes and documentation.
· Supervise and participate in client activities, including walks and scheduled physical activities.
· Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated client care.
· Uphold the ethical standards and practices of the CACCF.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Must be currently registered in good standing with the Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF).
· Proven experience in addiction counselling within a residential setting is a strong asset.
· Ability to perform all duties, including safety protocols and light physical activity.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and boundary-setting skills.
· Strong team player with a collaborative approach.
· Flexibility to work a rotating schedule including days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends.
· A compassionate, non-judgmental, and client-centered approach.
