Position Title: Director of Data Management

The Ontario Liberal Party office staff team consists of 10-12 people working in downtown Toronto. This is a full-time, in-person role.

Overview:
The Ontario Liberal Party is looking for a Director of Data Management to keep our digital infrastructure running smoothly and our records accurate. You will be responsible for maintaining the Party's membership and donor databases, processing monthly contributions, managing convention registrations, and preparing data for local associations, Party leadership, and our accounting team. You will also serve as a liaison with Elections Ontario and our data vendor, and play a key role in keeping our digital systems, including our website and payment processor, running reliably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Party's digital infrastructure, including the website, payment processor, and Liberalist, identifying issues and recommending improvements as they arise.
- Process monthly donor contributions through the Party's payment processors.
- Maintain accurate membership and monthly donation records, including up-to-date voting lists for internal Party elections, including the upcoming leadership election.
- Prepare and distribute member and donor lists for local associations, Party leadership, and the accounting team.
- Manage convention registrations, including processing payments and assigning voting categories.
- Monitor and respond to the donor relations inbox.
- Act as the Party's liaison with Elections Ontario and the Party's data vendors
- Play a central role in data operations during election periods, including supporting with voter data, maintaining accurate electoral lists, and ensuring all data processes comply with Elections Ontario requirements.
- Support additional organizational needs as required, including by-elections and conventions.
Qualifications:
- Three or more years of experience in data analytics, database management, or a related field, preferably within a political party, campaign, or non-profit organization.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to independently learn and navigate new software, systems, and tools.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Experience working with large datasets and relational databases.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications (Excel or Google Sheets).
- Experience with data analysis and statistical software, including R, Stata, or Python, is an asset.
- Familiarity with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Liberalist) and voter contact tools is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights for non-technical audiences an asset.
- French or other languages are an asset.
Salary and Benefits: The Ontario Liberal Party offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package. The position will require occasional travel and evening/weekend work, especially during campaign periods.
