Bananarch Design Studio is an architecture and interior design firm specializing in high-end residential projects throughout the Greater Toronto Area. Our work focuses on creating thoughtful, timeless spaces while maintaining a strong connection between design, construction, and craftsmanship.
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to assist with the day-to-day management of residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate residential construction projects and support the Project Manager throughout all phases of construction.
- Schedule and attend site meetings, prepare meeting minutes, and track action items.
- Coordinate consultants, trades, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project schedules and assist with maintaining timelines.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and project documentation.
- Track RFIs, change orders, deficiencies, and project deliverables.
- Assist with procurement, material ordering, and delivery coordination.
- Conduct regular site visits and document construction progress.
- Maintain organized project records and reporting systems.
- Support permit, inspection, and occupancy processes where required.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and consultants.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in residential construction, project coordination, or project management.
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Architectural Technology, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods and sequencing.
- Experience reading architectural, structural, and interior design drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, Buildertrend, or similar project management software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Valid Ontario driver's license and access to a vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with luxury custom homes and renovations.
- Knowledge of Ontario Building Code and municipal approval processes.
- Familiarity with budgeting, tendering, and contract administration.
- Experience working with architects, designers, and builders.
