As a Kitchen Aide, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring meal service excellence, maintaining a clean food services environment, and creating a warm dining experience for our cherished residents. Reporting directly to the Food Services Manager, you'll be a key member of our close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities:
Meal Service
- Prepare and serve resident beverages and snacks with attention to personal dietary guidelines.
- Monitor resident eating habits and communicate changes to the Food Services Manager.
- Ensure meals are served in accordance with residents' specific dietary needs.
- Collaborate with the Cook as needed.
- Adhere to Food Safe Regulations, including temperature control, and maintain a clean food services area with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment.
Dining Room Preparation & Cleanliness of Food Services Area:
- Maintain accurate dishwasher temperature and chemical usage logs.
- Keep food services work areas, equipment, and the dining room meticulously clean and sanitized.
- Execute sanitation tasks in line with safe work procedures.
Safety & Security
- Prioritize the safety and security of residents, personnel, and visitors during kitchen duties.
- Report any workplace injuries promptly and accurately.

- Organize and prioritize work efficiently, meeting deadlines consistently.
- Display willingness to undergo additional training if required.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Strong English speaking, comprehension, reading and writing is mandatory.
- First Aid certification (we can get you trained)
- WHMIS certification (we can get you trained)
