Job Overview
We are ASAP Windows & Doors seeking an experienced and dynamic Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily production activities, ensure quality standards, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in manufacturing processes, and proficiency with ERP systems to optimize efficiency and productivity across the plant. The Production Manager will play a vital role in coordinating supply chain activities, implementing lean manufacturing principles, and maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all production activities to meet quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing workflows and reduce waste.
- Manage production schedules utilizing MRP and ERP systems to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Oversee inventory control, supply chain logistics, and procurement processes to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct regular safety audits.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to uphold product standards and resolve any quality issues promptly.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and develop corrective action plans.
- Coordinate with engineering teams on assembly processes and mechanical troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing management or a similar leadership role within a production environment in windows & doors.
- Strong knowledge of SAP, ERP systems, MRP, and supply chain management tools.
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of assembly processes and equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies such as lean manufacturing or continuous improvement strategies.
- Familiarity with quality control standards and practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets for decision-making.
- Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration across departments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
