Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Spray Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying various treatments on trees and shrubs to ensure optimal growth and protection.
Duties
- Preparing and checking the necessary equipment and treatment products for the workday
- Mixing, application, and storage of pesticides and fertilizers following all safety measures
- Applying pesticides/fungicides to trees and plants using sprayers under the direction of a licensed applicator, or be a licensed applicator, with all required protective equipment
- Performing other tree health maintenances. Tasks include tree trunk injection, soil injection (fertilization), and air spade soil renovation.
- Plant and Tree ID
- Keep records of pesticides and fertilizers
- Following all the required health and safety rules and regulations strictly
- Apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers according to established guidelines.
- Prepare and mix chemical solutions as per safety regulations and product specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of applications, including quantities used and areas treated.
- Collaborate with the sales team to provide product recommendations based on customer needs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations during spraying operations.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
Experience
- Previous experience is preferred.
- Holding an Ontario Pesticide Exterminator Licence (Landscape) is preferred.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools related to agricultural practices..
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols.
