Company Overview Qualicare Home Care provides premium home care across the Lower Mainland of BC, focused on quality of life for clients and peace of mind for their families. We are growing and looking for a connected, driven Business Development Manager to own referral generation and grow our client base.
The Role You will be the face of Qualicare in the local healthcare community. Your primary job is generating referrals by building and maintaining relationships with hospital discharge planners, physicians, case managers, senior living communities, and community organizations. This is a relationship-driven sales role for someone who is comfortable getting in front of referral sources and converting those relationships into clients.
Responsibilities
- Build and nurture relationships with hospital discharge planners, social workers, physicians, case managers, and organizations to drive referrals.
- Secure access to and present at hospitals, clinics, senior living communities, and community events.
- Educate referral sources on Qualicare's services and differentiators.
- Guide prospective clients and families through care options, answer questions, and coordinate service start dates.
- Conduct or coordinate client intake consultations and assessments (clinical assessments handled by our care team where required).
- Track all activity, referrals, and pipeline in CRM, and report against growth targets.
- Ensure compliance with privacy and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications (Required)
- Either 2+ years in home care, senior care, or healthcare sales/business development, or strong existing relationships within Lower Mainland hospitals and community health networks.
- Demonstrated ability to open doors with referral sources (discharge planners, physicians, case managers, senior communities).
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-directed, target-oriented, and comfortable working in the field.
- Valid BC driver's license and reliable vehicle; willingness to travel across the Lower Mainland.
Qualifications (Preferred / Bonus)
- Existing book of contacts in local hospitals or health authorities.
- Prior home care or medical sales experience.
