Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, Thurs & Fri 7am-3pm; Sat & Sun 7am-4:30pm (unless otherwise required by programming or client service delivery)

Salary: $25.95 – $29.76/hour as per CSSEA & CSSBA Collective Agreement (Grid Level 10)
Job Summary
Assists clients to live successfully in residential settings such as group homes. Our 24-hour staffed residential home is designed to support individuals or groups of individuals with daily living. Residential care workers ensure that the individual’s physical, emotional, social, educational, and medical needs are met. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to pursue a career in the social service field. You will build skills and experience while supporting others towards their goals and daily needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Certificate in a related human/social service field or
- One (1) year recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Food Safe and Emergency First Aid – Community Care (training can be provided as required)
- Must be sensitive to and respectful of cultural differences, differences in socio-economic status and lifestyle diversity. Must be non-judgmental
- Knowledge of relevant socio-historical events relevant to Indigenous culture
- Must demonstrate an understanding of theory, principles, and practices in the field
- Must possess basic computer skills
Required:
- Valid class 5 driver’s license & satisfactory drivers abstract
- Criminal Record Check clearance
- This position requires union membership
