Journeyperson & Apprentice Pipefitters

Role Overview
Comec Energy Services is seeking skilled Journeyperson and Apprentice Pipefitters for an upcoming turnaround project at Christina Lake. This is a short-term, camp-provided position. They are looking for safety-conscious, hardworking individuals who can execute piping maintenance, modifications, and bolt-up safely and efficiently under tight project schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and ISOs to determine layout and work requirements.
- Assemble, install, maintain, and transition piping systems and supports.
- Perform bolt-up, blinding, and de-blinding activities safely.
- Collaborate with other trades on-site to ensure turnaround schedules are met.
- Adhere strictly to Comec Energy Services' safety policies, site-specific hazards, and permit requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid Provincial or Red Seal Journeyperson Pipefitter certification, or registered Apprentice in good standing.
- Valid CSO, First Aid, and H2S Alive Certifications.
- Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications are considered assets.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Strong work ethic and physical ability to perform demanding manual labour in outdoor industrial environments.
