The Whitehouse Bakery & Restaurant, located in the townsite of Wasagaming (Clear Lake), Manitoba, is seeking a full-time seasonal Cook, Baker, or Cross-Trained Kitchen Team Member for the 2026 summer season.
For generations, the Whitehouse has been a destination for visitors to Riding Mountain National Park. We are a high-volume, 70-seat restaurant and bakery, known for our famous Cinnamon Buns, café-style breakfasts, fresh baking, and homestyle lunch service. Every day, our team prepares quality food for guests from across Manitoba and beyond in a fast-paced, professional kitchen.
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen and takes pride in producing quality food. Previous experience as a cook, baker, or pastry cook is preferred, but we are also happy to train someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine desire to learn.
Many of our team members are cross-trained, giving you the opportunity to develop experience in both our restaurant kitchen and bakery. Whether your passion is cooking, baking, or both, we'll work with your experience and interests while helping you expand your skills.
What we offer
- Competitive wages above industry standards, based on experience.
- Full-time seasonal employment from July through September.
- Approximately 40 hours per week with two consecutive days off.
- Daytime shifts only. We are open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., so you'll enjoy your evenings while working in one of Manitoba's premier summer destinations.
- Brand-new, fully furnished staff accommodations are available just steps from work in the townsite of Wasagaming. Each suite includes a full kitchen and private bathroom.
